AGC Construction Economic Update

Join us for a timely and informative economic update with Ken Simonson, Chief Economist at AGC of America. He will cover current trends in construction labor markets, materials costs, supply chain conditions, and demand across project types. Ken will also examine the impact of tariffs on key construction inputs, including steel, aluminum, and equipment, and how trade policy is influencing costs and availability across the industry. Drawing from AGC’s latest surveys, pricing indices, and employment data, Ken will present what these patterns mean for regional and national construction activity in the coming months and year.


About the Presenter

Ken Simonson has served as AGC’s Chief Economist since 2001, authoring the weekly Data DIGest and regularly advising on economic policy, labor data, pricing forecasts, and legislative impacts affecting the construction industry. With over 40 years of experience and leadership roles in the National Association for Business Economics and other economic forums, he is a trusted voice in contract, tax, and construction economics.
