Description

“Working in excavation and trenches is inherently dangerous due to hazards such as cave-ins, falling loads, electrocution and falls, to name a few." The Excavation and Trenching Competent Person training is designed around hazard identification and mitigation for those employees who work in or around excavations". 

This course will cover the following subjects: 

-Intro to OSHA and associated regulations 

-Define Competent Person and associated responsibilities 

-Soil classification, mechanics and dynamics 

-Protective Systems 

-Safe work practices in excavation and trenches

-Inspection requirements
